BP Batam Urges to Implement PP 41 - 2021 in the Port Sector

The Badan Pengusahaan (BP) Batam participated in a coordination meeting and socialization of the implementation of the Free Trade Area and Free Port organized by the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment of the Republic of Indonesia on August 31 and September 1, 2021, virtually led by the Expert Staff of the Minister for the Law of the Sea, Okto Irianto.

This is aimed at following up on the Coordination and Socialization Meeting for the Implementation of Free Trade Areas and Free Ports which was previously held on 27 August 2021 regarding the distribution of licensing services carried out by BP Batam with KSOP Batam.

A total of 332 Transitional Licensing Services carried out by BP Batam include: Extension of Operating Permits of 10 permits, Continued for Unloading Activities of 8 permits, Operation of Ships of 6 permits, Recommendation for Inauguration of SIUPKK as many as 1 permit, Registered Information of 1 permit, Extension of Operational Permit Route of as many as 2 permits, loading and unloading work as many as 302 permits. However, there are 2 licenses that have not been completed, namely the Recommendation for Confirmation of SIUPKK and Registered Information. Head of the BP Batam Promotion and Protocol Public Relations Bureau, Ariastuty Sirait said that BP Batam had issued 187 permits.

"BP Batam has agreed that licensing for business actors should not stop and currently BP Batam has issued 187 permits," said Ariastuty Sirait. He added that the authority regarding the types and rates of port services in the KPBPB area has also been shared between BP Batam and the Ministry of Transportation in this case the Batam Special KSOP.
